1. “Let’s Get It Started” - Black Eye Peas</I>
Not many Deceptions knew that Icy Blitzwing had issues with pent-up aggression. Hell, it came as a surprise to him! But yes, everyone in a while, Blitzwing found his icy cold side operating on one last circuit relay… one that someone never failed to work for all it was worth.

Today it was a combination of Lugnut’s fanaticisms and Starscream’s egomania; how much could one Decepticon take? Too much, he told himself as he strung up the punching bag.

It was a weird thing for him to be in the possession of; it was something he’d found one day on Earth, and Random liked it. It eventually came to be useful-- when he needed to pummel something, he turned to the bag.

Like now. He tugged at the bag to test its ties and stared at it for a beat. Suddenly, the icy aspect of Blitzwing began pummeling it with his bare fists, damned glad the door was locked.

2. “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad” - Meatloaf</I>
Seeing him… there… in front of her… it was too surreal. To see Optimus-- Optimus fraggin’ PRIME now-- after she became Blackrachnia… Primus, this was weird.

Very, very gently, Optimus took her servo in his. “Elita,” he whispered. The name jolted Blackrachnia’s audios-- that was something she’d not heard in years.

“Elita,” he whispered again, pulling her a little closer. His free servo lightly traced an edge of her helmet. “I’ve missed you.”

“I…” Blackrachnia couldn’t bring herself to say I missed you, too because… well, she didn’t. “Yeah,” she finally settled on.

“We can…” Optimus stroked the back of her processor again. “We can take you in. it would take some doing, but we can, and… you could be Elita again.” He gently squeezed her servo, bidding her to consider the request.

She pulled away, hardly. “No, Optimus,” she flatly denied, looking skyward. “I want to be Elita again… I need to be Elita again… but I don’t want it from you. I can’t trust you…” Then, softly: “I’m sorry.”

3. “It Just Comes Natural” - George Strait</I>
The cause of his fascination with Earth’s flora and fauna was unclear to him. It just came about.

Perhaps it was the similarities between some of earth’s animals’ habits and the underlying principles of Circuit-Su-- the hunting practices of the big cats; the confidence of the arctic animals, and their will to survive even the most harsh environment…

Perhaps it was the colors-- Cybertron, as much as he loved his home world, was all grays and blacks; but the natural world of earth was every color he could envision, and a few he couldn’t.

The love was only natural.

4. “Redneck Twelve Days of Christmas” - Jeff Foxworthy</I>
“Merry Twelve days of Christmas, Lugnut!” Random chirped, bouncing into the room like a puppy.

“What?” Lugnut responded.

“It’s CHRISTMAS!” Random repeated. “I have gifts for yoooooooou!”

“What the frag is Christmas?” Lugnut queried, distrusting.

“I dunno-- but it sounds like fun!” the triple-changer replied. He thrust a package into Lugnut’s servos. “Open it!”

Lugnut opened it, to find a small Santa. “What the frag…?”

5. “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” - Thrule Ravenscroft</I>
Megatron was not renowned for a warm fuzzy attitude. He ruled the Decepticon faction with a quite literally iron grip that refused to yield in any manner. Even as he was dismantled and poked and prodded by the insignificant human he now held captive, Professor Isaac Sumdac, Megatron was plotting, planning, scheming-- three of the things he did best.

Now that he was finally free from that embarrassment to his function-- making nice with Sumdac, putting up with the insignificant organic’s idle chatter, claiming he was, ugh, an Autobot… Now that that slag was said and done, he could go back to his semi-rightful place as Decepticon lord, aiming for Overlord of All Cybertron. It’s good to have goals, he reminded himself.

6. “That’s Why I’m Here” - Kenny Chesney</I>
Perhaps giving Prowl his EMP, even for a short time, wasn’t such a great idea after all… It did something to him, something Ratchet didn’t particularly care for. The kid was always calm, collected, the strong silent type femmes always seem to bsess over…

But the second that EMP rooted itself in Prowl’s CPU, he was something the medibot didn’t recognize-- he kept saying he could handle it, but could he? He taking risks that would offline any other bot, and Prowl was sailing through on pure good luck; what the frag would happen when that good luck ran out?

Thank Primus Prowl saw the light before that-- Ratchet had never been happier to get that EMP back, which he now kept under lock and key at all times. He’d seen the effects over modifying had on bots.

It wasn’t something he wanted to see happen to Prowl.

7. “Beautiful Liar” - Beyonce and Shakira</I>
Somewhere between Cybertron and Earth, Starscream cursed Megatron’s existence. That slagging fool… acting so high and mighty. He wasn’t worthy of the title of Decepticon Lord. Now, Starscream, Leader of the Decepticons… ah, that was music to the seeker’s audios.

He continued to bend over the hollow metallic chassis on which he worked, doing something akin to fine-tuned soldering. He was nearly done working on the last parts of his special project, a fact that send chills dancing all over his chassis.

The title he so craved was so close he could see it.

8. “Endless Night” - The Lion King original Broadway cast </I>
Every once in a while, Bulkhead missed home. Every once in a while, the great green Autobot found himself looking up at the night sky toward Cybertron, toward the small energon farm he’d left behind.

He still remembered his mother unit’s tears as her baby… her oldest, biggest baby… left home-- she was so proud. In all her wildest dreams, she’d never expected any of her seven sparklings to go in for the Elite Guard.

His father was quite proud himself, given time-- admittedly, he wanted his oldest son to take over the farm when he was too old to do it himself, but when he saw the way his son had with space bridge schematics, how he’d pore over his schoolbooks and study anything and everything he could lay his servos on about them… Who has he to deny his son his passion?

Now, his siblings were painfully jealous, but missed him terribly. He missed them too… and Mom and Dad.

Which was why he wanted to do good here on Earth-- he wanted to warrant their pride.

9. “When You Lie Next to Me” - Kellie Coffey</I>
Theirs was a relationship of very differing sparks-- a spark that was icy cold and locked away, hoping for the day it could be whole again, and a spark that could never quite decide what it wanted. But every once in a while, their sparks were in sync, and their chassis followed quite faithfully.

Tonight was one of those rare moments, when no words were needed, nothing exchanged but bodily clues and sweet gazes, something neither had originally expected of the other. Neither one had ever expected to find themselves bonding with the other, but sometimes, they were wrong.

And neither party had ever been so happy to be so wrong.

His servo lightly traced hers, whispering sweet, gentle words into her audios. And she reciprocated, and life was good for one sweet moment.

10. “Through Heaven’s Eyes” - The Prince of Egypt soundtrack</I>
Sometimes, Prime wondered what was in store for him. The whole “Elite Guard” thing didn’t really pan out the way it was supposed to, which kinda sucked, but when he looked at Sentinel, Optimus was grateful for that. Then he was somehow or other sweet talked into coming down to earth, where he found himself picturing a great deal of the rest of his life playing out.

He liked Earth-- it was unique and different. Nothing was as it appeared, very much like himself, a Cybertronian national… a transformer, as Sari so charmingly worded it. There was always a new sensation, a new concept… for someone who loved to learn as much as he, he knew he was in the right place.

The variety, the culture, the kindness of (most) of the people, continually beckoned to Optimus Prime, making him want to put down roots on this weird little planet.

So that was Primus’ plan for him…
I was bored this afternoon, so sue me.

Found this on ~eabevella’s page, which linked back to *kenyastarflight’s page, and from there I couldn‘t find a definitive source. XP In any case, this is the Ten Songs, Ten Stories meme, where you write ten stories for the first ten songs that come up in your music shuffle, and decided to take a crack at it. The reason these are all so short is because I have to think about what I’m writing, which wasted a lot of my time. ^^;

I may hafta do this again… this was fun!

Some Notes
:bulletblue: For some reason, the visual of Icy Blitzwing beating the crap out of a punching bag came very, very strongly with this song. Said visual was also very, very appealing. xD (I swear to Primus, if I could draw that.. .)
:bulletblue: Little bit of angst. I’m not too big into Prime x Blackrachnia as a paring, but I still toyed with it a little, meaning nothing but respect for the pairing itself and its supporters of course.
:bulletblue: This song is a romantic one; I just took the romance in a different direction: from the love the singer has for whomever he is singing to, to the love someone has for an object or concept-- in this case, Prowl’s love of nature. :butterflytwo:
:bulletblue: I was so mad when this came up in my shuffle-- how the frag was I supposed to write something for Animated with this? Really-- rednecks and Cybertronians don’t really go together. And then Random Blitzwing pops up… the scene wrote itself after that. I was hoping it would be longer though-- I wanted to write Lugnut blasting the Santa with a laser! :santa:
:bulletblue: Again, more Christmas. Megatron sort of came up in my mind a lot faster than Random did in the other Christmas piece, ‘cos let’s face it-- he IS a mean one. X3
:bulletblue: I know someone over on ff.net explored Prowl in the season two episode “Fistful of Energon” with the concept of the mods and upgrades Prowl accepted from Lockdown as being like a drug to Prowl; I’m either blatantly (if inadvertently) stealing that concept or just toning it down. Either way, I do not own that concept. ^^; I wanted to ponder that idea through Ratchet’s point of view, since it was his EMP… xD
But on the most serious note I can manage, I think that the very, very understated relationship between Ratchet and Prowl is like that of a father and son, so Ratchet’s concern for Prowl’s well-being is legitimate.
:bulletblue: No clue why Beyonce and Shakira conjured up Starscream… I was writing this one at like 1 AM Alaska time, so maybe that’s it.
:bulletblue: I love Bulkhead; he’s adorable. :aww: I had to write him something before this meme was said and done. He strikes me as being the type who would miss home occasionally, and not be ashamed to admit it (although the latter was not addressed here), so I ended up taking the theme from this song-- which is a grown-up Simba pining for his father Mufasa-- and tweaked it a little to suit Bulkhead.
:bulletblue: It had to happen-- some sappy love song had to pop up in this mess somewhere. You guys get bonus points if you can guess the pairing I hinted at. :XD:
:bulletblue: This one stumped me for a little while, and then Prime popped up and I ran with a concept.
